Pramac Racing makes its debut in the MotoGP World Championship in 2002 and for two consecutive years is called Pramac Honda Racing. He initially collaborates with Tetsuya Harada aboard his Dunlop Dunlop Honda NSR500 and then continued with Makoto Tamada in 2003 on the RC211V with Bridgestone tires. In the 2016 season the OCTO team Pramac Yakhnich confirms the two drivers Danilo Petrucci and Scott Redding on the Ducati Desmosedici GP 2015.
The start of Scott Redding is very promising, winning the sixth place and the Best Independent Team award in the Austin (United States) Grand Prix. The English rider gets his first podium at Assen with Pramac Racing and confirms he is in great shape in the next GP in Germany finishing fourth. Also in Austria Redding gets an excellent result with the eighth place that is worth the Best Independent Team award. 2017 is an extraordinary year for Octo Pramac Racing.
Danilo Petrucci is one of the great protagonists of the season. The driver of Terni wins 4 times the podium with a fantastic third place at Mugello and touching the victory both at Assen and at Misano. For Petrux also four times in the front row in the GP of Barcelona, Germany, Misano and Japan. Octo Pramac Racing closes in sixth place in the classification reserved for teams. At the end of the 2017 season the team hires Jack Miller as the new rider for the 2018 MotoGP season.
All the Team Pramac mechanics have chosen to use the products of the WD-40 Specialist Moto line for the care and maintenance of the bikes of the Alma Pramac Racing Team.
