Therefore, if you don’t protect it, you’ll find it can become extremely worn.
This guide will explain, how to maintain your chain so that you can carry on with the journeys that you love!
Firstly, it’s important to secure your bicycle for your own safety. Place it on a Bike Stand, and lean it against a wall. This will keep your bike secured.
Next, take your trusty can of WD-40 Bike Degreaser, and simply spray the fast-acting formula onto your chain, allowing the product to work into all the tight spaces.
No residue will be left from this formula, and it will help to extend the life of your bike chain. It will also help to remove any dirt and oil.
After allowing a few minutes for the product to work it’s magic, take a hose and shower down your bike chain to hose down any excess fluid.
Once this is done, grab a clean microfibre cloth and pat dry. This will help prevent any water marks.
Now, for further protection, grab the WD-40 Wet Bike Lube and apply directly onto the chain. This is the perfect product to keep it protected in wet and muddy conditions, and will help to protect against rust and corrosion.
Allow the lubricant to sink in, and then that’s your bike ready to roll!
